Frequently Asked Questions

  • Should I come with clean or dirty hair?

Coloring services work best with clean dry hair. All cuts will include a shampoo at the beginning of the service.

  • How long should I wait to shampoo my hair after color?

Hair should be washed no sooner than 48 hours after a coloring or lightening service.

  • Should I do my keratin before or after my color?

Keratins can be done the day of your coloring appointment, after your color service. If you are unable to do it on the same day, keratins should be done at least 2 weeks after coloring services.

  • How long should I wait to shampoo my hair after keratin?

Hair should be washed no sooner than 72 hours after a Keratin with a sulfate free shampoo only.

  • What is the difference between a trim & a cut?

The only difference between a trim and a cut is the length taken off. The same sectioning and techniques are applied the same regardless of what length is taken off.

  • How long should I expect my color to last?

Touch up for a root color is every 4-6 weeks. Highlights and Blonding services are every 6-8 weeks. For Balayage, we recommend 4-6 weeks for a gloss and 3-4 months for touch ups.

  • How long should I expect my keratin to last?

Keratin Express lasts up to 6 weeks and Full Keratin Treatments last up to 15 weeks. Keratin longevity is based on products used, lifestyle and styling choices.

  • Do you have parking?

Parking is available on 13th, Pennsylvania and E Streets. There are also 2 parking garages within a 1 block radius of the salon. We recommend allowing an extra 15 mins of travel time to find adequate parking.

  • How do you add gratuity?

We typically use Venmo or accept Cash in exact change. If neither of those options are convenient for you, we accept gratuity through the credit card system at checkout.
